About fifteen miles east of Laramie, atop the Laramie Mountains, is a magical place the native Americans called Vedauwoo, meaning “earth-born.”

Vedauwoo — a rocky wilderness, a rock-climber’s paradise. Here the bizarre shape of Nautilus Rock is complemented by the brilliant aspen foliage.
